Creating this artwork was an incredibly enjoyable experience. I utilized the Manga Studio program to sketch, ink, and color this piece. My love for video games, particularly Street Fighter 2 and old-school Nintendo titles like Mega Man, is evident in my work.
The Influence of Loot Crate
During the creation of this piece, Loot Crate was still a relatively new concept. As a happy subscriber, I found their community engaging and their contests exciting. This artwork was one of my entries.
Incorporating Loot Crate’s Signature Style
In this drawing, I incorporated Loot Crate’s signature style by using their characteristic orange colors. These are typically found inside their black packaging.
Capturing the Excitement of Unboxing
The main goal of this artwork was to capture the thrill of unboxing. Ryu’s facial expression in the drawing perfectly encapsulates the joy and anticipation that comes with opening a Loot Crate box.
